ACRIN (American College of Radiology Imaging Network): "A program of the American College of Radiology, ACRIN is a National Cancer Institute cooperative group and receives additional financial support from contributors to the “ACRIN Fund for Imaging Innovation” and other industry and governmental partners."www.acrin.org
CALGB (The Cancer and Leukemia Group B): "A national clinical research group sponsored by the National Cancer Institute. Founded in 1956, a national network of 26 university medical centers, more than 200 community hospitals and more than 3,000 oncology specialists who collaborate in clinical research studies." www.calgb.org

CTSU (Cancer Trials Support Unit): "A project sponsored by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) for the support of a national network of physicians to participate in NCI-sponsored Phase III cancer treatment trials. NCCTG (North Central Cancer Trials Group): "A national clinical research group sponsored by the NCI. NCCTG consists of a network of cancer specialists at community clinics, hospitals and medical centers in the US and Canada. The research base for NCCTG is located at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.
