2017 JSGS Observership

Anand Govindarajan MD, MSc, FRCSC has been selected for the 2017 JSGS Observership.


SSO members were offered the opportunity by the Japanese Society of Gastroenterological Surgery (JSGS) to apply for a visiting observership in Japan. Many excellent and competitive applications were received and Anand Govindarajan MD, MSc, FRCSC, Assistant Professor, Surgery at the University of Toronto and Adjunct Scientist at the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences in Toronto, Canada, was selected as the recipient of the observership.

Dr. Govindarajan will have the opportunity to attend the 72nd General Meeting of the JSGS, which takes place on July 20-22, 2017 in Kanazawa-City, Ishikawa, Japan. Dr. Govindarajan will then visit two pre-eminent Japanese Surgical Oncology Institution and observe gastric procedure(s). The JSGS will provide Dr. Govindarajan with a stipend to assist with travel and accommodation costs during the duration of the observership.
