Applications Are Being Accepted for an Observership Opportunity in Japan

Japanese Society of Gastroenterological Surgery logoSSO members are being offered an outstanding opportunity by the Japanese  Society of Gastroenterological Surgery (JSGS) to apply for a visiting observership in Japan. The selected recipient will attend the 75th General Meeting of the Japanese Society of Gastroenterological Surgery, in Wakayama on July 2 – 4, 2020 and will be partnered with a JSGS mentor based on shared scientific interests and visit one specialized Japanese medical center to observe procedures. The successful candidate will also receive a stipend of $3,000 USD to assist with travel and accommodation expenses. Up-and-coming surgical oncologists under the age of 45 who are SSO Active or Active International members in good standing and specialize in gastrointestinal cancer are encouraged to apply.
