Strict requirements must be met to be an SSO-approved training program. The Society of Surgical Oncology reviews and approves breast oncology fellowship training programs yearly, and accepts new PID applications up to February 15 of each year. For more information on how to apply to become an SSO-approved training program and approval timelines, please review the information below.

For application deadline dates and notification timeline, please click here.

As of December 16, 2019, the fee for processing applications for programs seeking initial approval will be a non-refundable $2,000 fee and an invoice will be generated and sent once the PID is received by the SSO. The PID will not be reviewed until the application fee has been paid.

Please be aware that this fee is not the site visit and annual program fee. This is a secondary fee that will be assessed at time of program approval and site visit.

Download the PID application click here. To submit your PID, please email it to fellowship@surgonc.org. You will receive a email confirmation once it is successfully.
