Enhance Your Clinical Trial Design Skills by Attending The Vail Workshop
The Methods in Clinical Cancer Research ASCO/AACR Workshop (also known as the Vail Workshop) is an intensive week-long educational course in the essentials of effective clinical cancer trial design that takes place annually in Vail, Colorado. Beyond teaching trial design and the challenges related to clinical trials, the course seeks to inspire participants to devote all or a portion of their future careers to some aspect of clinical research.
This year, the SSO will select one incoming or current complex general surgical oncology or breast oncology fellow who is accepted into the workshop to sponsor the cost of attendance (workshop registration fees + airfare, up to $2,000). Selection will be based on active candidate membership in the SSO, merit of the clinical trial proposed, and demonstration of commitment to research in surgical oncology. Applications for the SSO travel award are being accepted now from members who applied for the Vail Workshop before March 12, 2019. The application to be considered for the award can be found here. The recipient will be notified by July 1, 2019.
Additional information on the workshop can be found here.
