Program Details
We have a multidisciplinary, patient-centered approach to the management of benign and malignant disease. Our surgical oncologists, annually treat hundreds of patients with new cancer diagnoses and complex cancer related disease processes.
Our physicians are actively involved with the NCCN guideline panels and every national cancer organization as well as basic science cancer research and SWOG clinical trials.

Rotations
The Complex Surgical Oncology Fellow participates in all aspects of the management of cancer patients. The two-year fellowship focuses on participation on a variety of Surgical Oncology Services with additional rotations in Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, Pathology, and Research throughout the fellowship.

There are dedicated weekly tumor boards that the fellow will attend and at which the fellow will present and be an active participant. The fellow will assist in instructing residents and medical students. When the fellow completes the two-year program with the knowledge and technical skills needed for successful careers in surgical oncology.

The fellowship program follows the ACGME protocol.
Number of Positions: One per year
Length of Fellowship: Two years

Eligibility and Application:
Completion of a fully accredited program in surgical residency, in the United States, prior to the start of the Complex Surgical Oncology Fellowship is required. You must be American Board of Surgery certified or eligible. Foreign applicants must meet all ACGME requirements. We accept the J-1 Visa only; unfortunately, we cannot accept applications requiring an H1b Visa.

Please forward to ERAS a completed application, curriculum vitae, personal statement and three letters of recommendation. Interviews will be by invitation and are scheduled during the April/May time frame. The interview day begins at 7:00 a.m. followed by lunch and usually end by 4 p.m.
