SSO Website Wins ASAE 2020 Gold Circle Award – April 2020
The American Society of Association Executives announced winners of The Gold Circle Awards, which recognizes excellence, innovation and achievement in association/nonprofit marketing, membership and communication programs. The 2020 competition received 189 submissions across 15 categories and was judged by professionals from a variety of associations, non-profits and for-profit organizations.
To enter, SSO provided a comprehensive business case for redeveloping the website, including the linkage of the new website as a mechanism to promote and reinforce the Society’s new brand. Three website goals were presented along with supportive metrics. The website goals were to reinforce the value of membership and community, increase awareness of the SSO brand and the impact on the profession and increase click-thru rates while pioneering a simplified user experience.
The site’s six-month dashboard metrics indicate significant increases in overall traffic, page views and engagement. The Society looks forward to implementing additional features and content resources to reinforce the mission of the Society and support the oncology community.
