SSO Launches the First Virtual Tumor Board Webinar – “Understanding and Managing Risk of non-BRCA Genetic Mutations”

Mark your calendars for SSO’s first virtual tumor board webinar, “Understanding and Managing Risk of non-BRCA Genetic Mutations,” on October 9, 2018 at 3-4 pm Central Time. This virtual tumor board covers important information to help surgical oncologists treating breast cancer patients and family members to learn how to interpret the results of panel testing and assign cancer risk levels associated with less common genetic variants. Dr. Jean Bao, a surgical oncologist, leads the webinar with a multidisciplinary panel of a medical oncologist and a genetic counselor. At the conclusion of the tumor board, participants should be able to assign breast cancer risks associated with non-BRCA genetic mutations that may confer an increased risk of breast cancer and identify non-BRCA deleterious mutations that may be clinically actionable.
