Celebrate Your Mentor By Donating in Their Name to the SSO Research and Education Fund

Mentors make indelible marks on the lives they touch. They have overcome obstacles, forged new ways of thinking and are driven by their passions. As 2019 comes to a close, take a moment to honor your mentor by donating to SSO’s Research and Education Fund.

SSO President Elect, James R. Howe, MD, said, “I am pleased to support the SSO in honor of two past Presidents of the Society who had a tremendous influence on me. I was very fortunate to have trained under Drs. Samuel Wells and Murray Brennan. Their great wisdom and vision got me involved in the SSO, helped guide my career development, and shaped who I am today. I hope to give something back by donating to the research mission of the SSO.”

Through the SSO Research and Education Fund (formerly the SSO Foundation), 100% of your gift is restricted to fund the Clinical Investigator Award (CIA), the Young Investigator Award (YIA), and select educational programming. Through the generous support of donors, SSO has distributed $3.7 million in research grants.
