ESSO Observership

Jeffrey M. Farma, MD, FACS has been selected for the 2019 ESSO Observership

SSO members were offered the opportunity by the European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO) to apply for a visiting observership in Europe. Many excellent and competitive applications were received and Jeffrey M. Farma, MD, FACS, Chief of the Division of General Surgery, Associate Professor of Surgical Oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania was selected as the recipient of the observership.

Dr. Farma has the opportunity to attend ESSO 38 in Rotterdam, Netherlands from October 9-11, 2019. Following the meeting, Dr. Farma will be paired with ESSO mentors & will visit pre-eminent European surgical oncology institutions for two weeks to observe procedures.

ESSO will provide Dr. Farma with a stipend to assist with travel and accommodation costs during the duration of the observership.
